This is the best garden tool in the shed! Easy to use, cuts just about anything in the yard. Well built. Fun to use too, made me trim up a bunch of overgrowth I was dreading. My only gripe is for the price they should include an extra blade for the price.

This thing is amazing. It’s very strong and makes pruning super fast and easy. We have some bradford pear trees in our backyard that have large branches fall off a few times a year. I use this thing to chop up the branches into a 35gallon trash bag. It’s so easy to take a giant branch and chop it into tiny pieces. Just be careful of the snippers, every time I use this I remind myself that this will cut my finger off without even straining.

My son bought this tool for me as a gift as I have several on the 20V platform. This tool has quickly become by GO TO pruning tool. To tool is light and easy to operate with one hand leaving my other hand free for complete control. The blades are set up well and can easily slice through thick stems and limbs and it can go all day on a well charged battery.

Has to be one of the best dewalt tools I own! Works amazing on blackberry bushes. And sips power used the battery for half a day of clearing blackberries only dropped 1 bar.

I’ve looked at similar tools to this, but never purchased one. What really sold on it is the Dewalt name, As I already have Quite a few DeWalt tools and the batteries to go with them it fits right in.Originally, I primarily bought this for my wife, but since I got it, I have used it like mad on all my guarding projects and it has been Very efficient and a great time saver,I have used it to trim trees, trim, branches, and it will go through some serious width branches probably even a bit more than it was designed for, but it works. One major thing it has over simple manual shears is fatigue on your wrist and hand. All of that disappears with this and you can do a whole lot more work in the same timeframe. I used it one day from early in the morning until late in the afternoon with hundreds if not thousands of cuts and it was still going strong on the same battery. The thing seems to go through everything. I even used it to trim some PVC pipe. With that in mind, my only caution about this is that yes it goes through EVERYTHING you need to be extremely careful where your support hand is and not get any of your fingers in the way. With a handheld manual clipper if you happen to get your hand or finger in the way, you could feel it and stop. This will not, it’ll just go through whatever is in its jaw. I had one very close call where I got a little too close and it took off the tip of my glove thankfully, my finger wasn’t in it, but it taught me a very valuable lesson about keeping your support hand clear.I did read in another review someone commented on the blade being chipped or damaged. After a couple days of very hard use, yes the blade was was chipped and had definite signs of use. I purchased an additional blade swapped it out. I put the original blade in my vice and took a file to it, and it came out. Perfect all ready to go again. I highly recommend buying that second blade so you can swap it out as I did.Great overall tool and I wish I had had it years ago.

Having devoted 28 years to pruning over 40 fruit and nut trees annually, along with tending to a variety of grapes, I can confidently say that I am well-versed in the art of pruning. As the years have progressed, I decided to invest in a tool to ease the strain, and I must say that this purchase has significantly improved my pruning experience. What stands out about this tool are its user-friendly safety features. Unlike other tools with cumbersome safety measures, navigating this one is a breeze. The cutting force it delivers is formidable, allowing me to effortlessly tackle tasks that were once challenging with traditional bypass hand pruners. The power is on par with my trusted loppers, yet the convenience of using a single tool for various pruning needs is a game-changer.I put it through its paces over several full-day sessions, and each time, the fresh battery provided consistent power throughout the day. The only minor drawback I observed is its size, which occasionally hinders access to smaller openings that hand shears can easily navigate. Additionally, the weight tends to become noticeable as the day progresses. However, the overall ease of use and the power it offers justify the occasional inconvenience.Despite the size and weight concerns, the advantages of preventing constant switching between loppers and hand shears make this tool a valuable addition to my arsenal. I’m pleased with my purchase and anticipate using it annually until battery compatibility becomes an issue. It has proven itself as a reliable companion, and I highly recommend it to fellow pruning enthusiasts.

I saw this on a YouTube lawn mowing show and ordered it. Since we already use Dewalt products our batteries worked great. We love using it because it’s easy, strong, quick and not too heavy for me.

I have acres of Broom ( an invasive species in the Pacific Northwest). I was a little undecided about a purchase of this loper when I first saw this item on Amazon. But, after wearing out my shoulders using large two-handled lopers on the Broom, I decided to try the De Walt hand loper. It arrived in typical Amazon hypersonic time. The battery and charger have to be purchased separately – remember that. The blade is sharp, the unit is not very heavy for one-handed use and has a unique safety trigger is built into the handle. It only took an hour to charge, and I went to the Broom field. The blades are removable with a supplied integral Allen key for replacement.I could cut 1.5″ Broom stalks with ease and with two or three cuts, 2″ thick ones. The blade is quick and cuts the Broom everything- Broom, Blackberry, thistle, misc bushes- with almost no effort. The gearing isincredible. I spent at least 1.5 hours cutting and still had the power to cut, which amazed me.It is easy to handle, designed and built to keep fingers away from the blades, not unduly heavy and performs as described. A great addition for any gardener or landscaper!
